TRAVELLING TO DUBAI

Dubai has been open and welcoming back tourists and visitors from 7 July 2020. The Emirate has put precautionary procedures into place for the safety of all visitors.

What documents do I need at departure?

  • Check your visa requirements HERE.
  • Get a printed negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate for a test taken no more than 72 hours before departure, in English or Arabic. Travelers from select countries (including India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka) need to hold a negative PCR test taken no more than 48 hours before departure
  • Ensure you have medical travel insurance with international coverage that covers COVID-19 before travelling. You will need to sign a declaration to bear all costs of quarantine and treatment and complete a Health Declaration Form before departure confirming you are not displaying any symptoms.
  • Do I need a PCR test to travel to Dubai?

  • Yes, all passengers arriving into Dubai from any point of origin must hold a negative COVID 19 PCR test certificate for a test taken no more than 72 or 48 hours before departure depending on the country of origin.
  • Passengers will be required to take another PCR test on arrival at the Dubai International Airport for arrival from certain countries or if they are displaying any symptoms.
  • What happens on arrival at the Dubai International Airport?

  • All arrival passengers have their temperature taken with thermal screening devices.
  • Passengers will be required to take another PCR test on arrival at the Dubai International Airport for arrival from certain countries or if they are displaying any symptoms.

  • Do I need to quarantine?

  • Currently there is no quarantine requirement in place when arriving in Dubai; however you may be asked to take another COVID‑19 PCR test on arrival. If you take a test at the airport, you must remain in your hotel or residence until you receive the test result.
  • If the test result is positive, you will be required to undergo isolation and follow the Dubai Health Authority guidelines.

    How much does the PCR test cost?

  • PCR tests cost between 85 AED (23 USD) and 180 AED (49 USD) in the UAE. Verify the cost with your testing facility first.
  • What happens if I test positive?

  • If you test positive for COVID-19 you must contact the Dubai Health Authority which will instruct you for further action in compliance with the government procedures.

  • What hotels are open in Dubai?

  • All hotels in Dubai are open, with strict hygiene and safety measure in place to safeguard their guests. You can book hotels HERE.
  • Will I be able to leave my hotel and enjoy Dubai?

  • All leisure and culture destinations are open for visitors while taking all precautionary measures such as wearing face masks, maintaining hand hygiene, applying physical distancing and avoiding gatherings. Find out more about things to do in Dubai HERE.

    What is the dmg events All Secure protocol?

    Our All Secure protocol comprises four key cornerstones, providing assurance and confidence that all our events have health and safety as our number one priority: physical distancing, cleaning & hygiene, protect & detect, and communication.

    These standards will work in conjunction with advice from Public Health Authorities and venues to ensure our events are operating in accordance with local rules as well as meeting international standards.

    Do I need to be vaccinated to attend Middle East Coatings Show?

    The Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) in Dubai announced that the following events do NOT require vaccination:

    • Classical, Theatrical and Comedy shows
    • All types of business events

    Do I need to present a negative PCR test to attend Middle East Coatings Show?

    No, PCR test results are not required to attend any event or activity in Dubai, as per official communication from the Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) in Dubai.

    Are face masks mandatory?

    Wearing a face mask is mandatory at all times.

    Is there temperature check at entry?

    Everyone will be screened by contactless temperature checks prior to entering the venue, either by handheld devices or thermal cameras.

    What if I have a high temperature?

    In the case of a high temperature, you will be asked to step aside to cool down. If the high temperature persists, you will be directed to a designated medical area to re-check your temperature and take any necessary medical procedure such as doing a PCR test.

    What happens if I get sick at the venue?

    You will be taken care of by our medical team who are following the Dubai Health Authority regulations.

    How do you ensure physical distancing at the event?

  • Aisles will be wider than usual: 1-way aisles will be a minimum of 2.5m wide and 2-way aisles will be a minimum of 4m wide.
  • Signage will be installed at key locations across the venue to spread awareness about safety regulations.
  • Floor stickers and other guides are installed to support social distancing measures as outlined in the government guidelines. These are installed at strategic locations across the venue i.e. elevators, escalators, at restrooms, at F&B outlets, venue entrances and along concourse areas.
  • The maximum number of people permitted on a stand at any time will be displayed on the front of the stand via a signage board or a sticker.
  • How often is the venue sanitised?

  • A full venue sanitisation will be conducted at the end of every event day.
  • Cleaning is carried out between breakout sessions, broadcasting sessions and lunch times at the conferences and workshop areas.
  • Sanitisers are also installed at key locations: at entrances to the venue, entrances to halls and meeting rooms, F&B outlets, washrooms, within parking areas, service yard restrooms and in all meeting rooms.
